As the first engineer to onboard onto the team, I help standardize processes within data engineering, including: environment and dev schema setup, rotational monitoring, and relationship management.
The bulk of my work is performed in dbt core using Git for version control within our repository. I monitor daily loads in dbt, Stitch, Hightouch and AWS to ensure our data is accessible and accurate for our company. Part of this work was automated via a script I wrote in python to parse the dense logs output by dbt core.

As a technical analyst in Merchandising Analytics I lead and support initiatives relating to the End-to-End supplier experience. Tools used include: R, Python, Data Studio for dashboarding, Google AppScript Google Analytics for user tracking, Google Cloud Platform for data management, and procedure management.
As apart of a hackathon, I develop a button within Google Appscript that pulled scripts from a Google Sheet, executed them in BigQuery, and output the results in Sheets alongside generated visualizations. In order to help scale this reporting to the wider organization, I used Python + gSheets to build an orchestrator file that triggered these runs.
In the enrichment space I lead the development of analytics for the new catalog bulk editing system. As the analytics lead I have studied the underlying data flow and worked with engineers to identify the gaps in processing that block reporting initiatives. Within product addition, I create and maintain dashboards at so that the business orgs can identify pain points within the supplier experience.
Within data governance, I help determine best practices for our team including structuring the schema for our department and the creation of a central repository for our documentation. As our team underwent the transition from on-premise to cloud data storage, I facilitated the transition for stakeholders by finding alternative tools for data procurement and translating scripts where necessary.
In addition to my listed job description, I also actively assist in recruiting efforts within technology, focused primarily on USC and underrepresented candidates. I am also active in the WayBlack community, an Employee Resource Group for Black employees for which I planned and participated in events.
